Caesar salad is one of the most popular recipes in international cuisine.
It combines crispy lettuce, Parmesan cheese, croutons, and a creamy dressing with a tangy touch. This version includes fresh tomato and toasted bread as a side.

INGREDIENTS (2 servings)

For the salad

  • 3–4 baby lettuces
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 cup crispy croutons
  • 40–50 g Parmesan cheese, shaved
  • 1 grilled chicken breast, sliced

For the Caesar dressing

  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan
    Black pepper to taste

PREPARATION

1. Prepare the dressing
Mix mayonnaise, mustard, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and grated Parmesan in a bowl. Add black pepper and adjust acidity or creaminess according to preference.                                                                                                                     2. Prepare the base
Wash and dry the little gem lettuce well. Cut them in half or quarters to maintain their shape and texture. Add the tomato, croutons, and chicken.                                                                                                                                                                    3. Assemble
Add Parmesan shavings and mix with the dressing just before serving to keep the lettuce crispy. Serve with toasted bread or focaccia.
